Methodology

  • A list of 50 kitchen trends was compiled from last year’s 2022 kitchen trends index and various articles. We could not get complete data for some so these were removed.
  • Google Keyword Planner tool was used to find the annual Google searches for each trend between March 2021 and February 2022.
  • Instagram posts were found by totalling the number of hashtags mentions the trend had.
  • TikTok views were also found by totalling the number of hashtag mentions.
  • Each trend was given a normalised score out of ten for each factor before an average of these scores was taken.
