Keeping your Patio & Driveway Looking New This Summer

During the winter and spring seasons patios and driveways get forgotten about and over this time become dirty, mossy and sometimes slippery.

Yet as soon as the signs of summer begin appearing – so does the scrubbing brush or the borrowing of a neighbour’s pressure washer to try and bring those surfaces back to former glory, ready to enjoy the lovely weather.

My question is “Who really wants to spend hours scrubbing a patio or driveway in this weather?”

I know I would much rather be relaxing in this weather rather than scrubbing my driveway….

What if we were to tell you that there is a simpler, slightly less strenuous way of getting your patio and/or driveway back to looking almost as new as the day it was laid?

Lithofin For a Cleaner Drive

Lithofin – the tile and natural stone cleaning and sealing specialists have two products which have taken most (there is still a little manual labour to do) of the effort of scrubbing out of the equation, thus leaving you with that extra time for relaxing on your patio, as opposed to all that extra time scrubbing.

MN Outdoor Cleaner is a highly active liquid cleaning agent that acts immediately, and leaves all exterior stone surfaces not only clean – but bright too.

By applying with a sprayer or brush at approximately 100ml per m², and allowing it to work into the area for as little as 2 hours and up to 10 hours.

Once you have washed off with a little water and a light brush, your patio and/or driveway will be starting to look absolutely amazing.

However, What about the Moss?? Will it not just come back again?? I hear you cry!!!

The moss will not return if you treat these areas with Algex.

Algex is a specifically designed cleaning solution for removing deposits caused by plants, moss etc. from most outdoor surfaces including concrete and natural stone, brick, render, terraces, patios and more.

• To use this product – dilute one part Algex into 10 parts water (please note that if it is only very light dirt to dilute 1 part Algex into 20 parts water).
• Apply this diluted solution to the area with a garden sprayer or a fine nozzle watering can at approximately 200ml per m².
• Once applied it is recommended that you protect the treated area from any potential rain or water contact for at least 4 hours to give the solution time to work its magic.

Then you can either wait for the rain to come or leave it on for a few days before washing off with clean water, your patio and/or driveway should now look truly outstanding.

If you happen to have black deposits on the area you look to treat, fear not….

Just ensure you use the MN Outdoor Cleaner as described but leave on for the maximum 10 hours, then remove and leave the area for a few days. Then apply the Algex and repeat this a few times every year. That way, your patio and/or driveway will remain bright, clean and looking like new…. All year long!
